“Asian” is too vague, “Oriental” is a rug, then what is the best term for the Chinese/Japanese looking race?

just a dude... October 28, 2010 at 5:48 pm: I always say “East Asian” because that is a term my British friends also understand to mean Japanese, Chinese, etc., whereas “Asian” to the Brits means Indian and Pakistani.
